NortonLifeLock has launched a new true cyber crime podcast, Criminal Domain, as part of a campaign to launch its new Dark Web Monitoring solution.

Criminal Domain is hosted by seasoned Crime Reporter Claire Aird and renowned Futurist Mark Pesce, and uncovers the online threats affecting Aussies every day.

In a true crime style, each episode follows the story of a victim of cyber crime. The first episode of the series is centered around Tayla Damir, winner of 2018 Australian Love Island. Her details how she was stranded in Lebanon after an identity theft hacker drained her bank account and took over her digital life.

Australia is one of the first countries in the world with access to NortonLifeLock’s Dark Web Monitoring to allow customers to monitor if their details are being sold on the dark web.

According to the most recent NortonLifeLock Cyber Security Insights Report (NLSCIR), 1 in 5 Australians respondents reported having been a victim of identity theft with one of the biggest fears reported being personal information exposed from a data breach (52 per cent).

Norton 360 with Dark Web Monitoring will be available in-store from today, 25 August, and online from 1 September. Existing Norton 360 premium and Deluxe customers will have their packages updated to include Dark Web Monitoring for the remainder of the subscription at no extra cost.

Josh Butt, Founder and Executive Producer, Ampel: “Ampel is committed to telling great stories. The Criminal Domain Podcast with Edelman and NortonLifeLock features incredible journalism from Claire Aird and tremendous insight from futurist Mark Pesce to share true stories of cybercrimes that every Australian should hear, so they can better protect themselves online.”
