“Sport’s Greatest Ever Fart” Caught By TV Mics During PGA Golf Tournament

Admittedly, watching televised golf can be up there alongside curling and chess in the excitement stakes.

However, the final round of the PGA tour’s Travellers Championship in Connecticut in the US on Sunday has attracted more eyeballs than usual.

Australian golfer Greg Chalmers was teeing-off on the first hole of the final round when his playing partner, Englishman Ian Poulter’s breakfast clearly got the better of him.

The 44-year-old Brit delivering what some have described as “sports’s greatest fart” and all caught by the nearby TV microphones.

“Did you get that?” Poulter then asked.

“Stay over there,” Chalmers joked in response. “Is that supposed to be more silent than that?”

Poulter later admitted his actions on Twitter, tweeting: “3 club wind this morning on the first tee. Always beware of the live mic.”

For the record, Poulter finished tied for 64th in the tournament and the wind-effected Chalmers had to settle for 67th.

Check out the farty action – if you must – below:
