Cast Of Dear White People Hilariously Spoof Cringeworthy Celebrity “I Take Responsibility” PSA

The white cast of the hit Netflix series Dear White People have hilariously spoofed the cringe-worthy and widely mocked celebrity PSA “I Take Responsibility” that was recently released in the wake of the Black Lives Matter movement.

The Twitter account for the show released the clip with the caption: “The white students of Winchester [the fictional Ivy League university where the series takes place] also want to take responsibility. We tried to stop them.”

Caitlin Carver, Sheridan Pierce, Erich Lane, Wyatt Nash, and John Patrick Amedori all feature as their characters in the show in the parody.

The video is a spoof of the original video starring celebrities like Aaron Paul, Kristen Bell, and Stanley Tucci, who all pledged to hold themselves accountable for “every unchecked moment”, “every not-so-funny joke”, and “every unfair stereotype”.

Tha original video, which you can watch below, received fierce backlash from social media, with many people mocking the video.

The Dear White People spoof follows a similar format, with all five actors in the show apologising for various injustices, such as “reporting underage drinking”, to “being white and pretty and desirable to men of all races”, to “having asked to see many managers”, and “liking Quentin Tarantino movies”.
