Pete Evans Next Venture Following Exit From MKR

Pete Evans Next Venture Following Exit From MKR

Last Friday B&T reported celebrity chef and judge on Seven’s MKR had cut ties with the show as he looked to new ventures.

In the days since the split from Seven was announced, Evans has been busy on social media, sharing plenty of Instagram posts that may point to his next move.

From funding a possible coronavirus vaccine to asking his some 232K followers what Trump perhaps knows about CV-19 that others don’t, Evans has been dishing out some interesting content now that he’s no longer under Seven’s thumb.

He also posted a short video from the documentary Plandemic, which features an interview with a US virologist and well known anti-vaccination activist Dr. Judy Mikovitz.

He wrote: “Would love to know your thoughts as the person being interviewed has a fascinating story. What is the truth?”

Evans’ shot to fame when he became a judge on MKR in 2010, and while it was once a ratings hit, the show has become increasingly less popular over the years.

From endorsement deals to contracts for cookbooks, Evans quickly became a household name, and also built himself a personal – albeit controversial at times – lifestyle brand.

Seven said the split from Evans and MKR was “amicable”, and said Evans will continue to focus on building his lifestyle and health business.

And, he has the following to do it. With 1.5m fans on Facebook and almost a quarter of a million on Instagram, along with his own podcast, there’s no telling where Evans might land next.

He even produced his own series The Magic Pill, which was streamed globally on Netflix.

As for MKR – there’s no word on how the future of the program will look like, or who will replace Evans. A Seven spokesperson told B&T any programming decisions will be made an announced later in the year.
