Neue Media Appoints Erica Moloney As Head Of PR & Communications
Strategic brand communications agency, Neue Media, has announced its appointment of Erica Moloney to the role of Head of PR and Communications, taking the lead across the company’s portfolio of clients and ensuring seamlessly integrated communications services.
The announcement comes as the agency looks to consolidate the roles and resources that will serve both the business and its clients well during the COVID-19 crisis, as well as the agency’s long-term performance and growth trajectory.
Neue Media’s Founding Director, Cara Cunningham said, “In times of uncertainty and crisis, there is an even greater need for the communications function and businesses will be best served by maintaining clear and accurate communication with their customers and clients.
“Erica’s appointment will afford our clients the benefit of her extensive experience as all industries seek to navigate a way through COVID-19, while her maturity and professionalism are already proving invaluable to keeping her team motivated, engaged and performing.”
Immediately prior to joining Neue Media, Erica was Villawood Properties’ inhouse Media and Communications Manager, an all-encompassing role in which she maintained a high level of positive exposure for the developer through managing the integrated communications for initiatives such as the Good Friday Appeal Charity Auction, the launch of Australia’s first virtual reality display village and profiling developments such as Australia’s greenest urban community, Aquarevo.
Before Villawood, Erica worked for some of Australia’s most respected agencies, including Haystac and iD Collective, with clients that include the likes of the City of Melbourne, Westfield, Chadstone the Fashion Capital, DFO, Vicinity Centres and Dexus, making her well suited to build on Neue Media’s long-standing expertise in property, retail, hotels and complementary sectors.
Ms. Cunningham continued, “Erica’s diverse background and experience, sees her well-placed to provide strategic guidance, even in the face of a stalling economy, while her expertise will prove essential in reshaping what our agency looks like in a post-COVID world.
“With an in-house media team, events, social media and PR all sitting under one roof, Neue Media has a unique capability to nimbly regear our services to ensure we’re continually delivering value to our clients.”
Ms. Moloney said she is leaning into the challenge presented by COVID-19 to guide clients as they seek to engage their customers and stakeholders.
“There will always be an appetite for quality content that keeps the wants and needs of its audience front of mind, while providing something of genuine value, regardless of the channel it is served.
“At this point in time, the most valuable content businesses can provide is on the theme of reassurance – that’s not to say they have to proclaim, ‘everything’s going to be fine’, rather, it’s about knowing what matters most to each of their audience segments and crafting messaging that goes to the heart of each concern.
“While we’re likely to see an economic slowdown, the brands that will come through and thrive on the other side will be those who were canny in how they kept in communication with their key audiences.”
Neue Media commenced operations in 2017 when founders, Cara Cunningham and Vanessa Lai, identified an opportunity to challenge the status quo of property marketing by offering clients an innovative cross-media approach which consolidates multiple communications functions via a streamlined client service model.
In just three years, Neue Media’s results-driven approach has contributed to positive commercial outcomes for clients such as Pace, Caydon Property Group, Kokoda Property, CBRE, Little Projects, Riverlee and Hamton.
