Publicis Media CEO Toby Barbour Departs

Publicis Media CEO Toby Barbour will be departing the business after seven years.

Barbour joined Starcom Sydney in 2013 as client services director across the Samsung and Optus accounts and was promoted to MD Starcom Sydney in 2014 before rising to CEO of Starcom Australia in 2016. In July last year he was promoted to Publicis Media CEO.

Publicis Groupe ANZ CEO, Michael Rebelo said: “On behalf of Publicis, I would like to thank Toby for the leadership, commitment and integrity he has shown in the six and a half years he has been with us, including leading Starcom Australia as CEO.

“In the time he has been chief executive of Publicis Media, Toby has galvanised the leadership team across Australia and New Zealand, brought in two new world-class CEOs to lead Spark Foundry and Starcom, and forged a clear direction and purpose for our media agency brands to set them up for success and growth as we continue to evolve our business. We wish Toby the very best of luck for the future.”

Barbour added: “In my years at Publicis Media and Starcom, I’ve been fortunate enough to be in leadership positions enabling business transformation as part of the broader Publicis Groupe vision. I firmly believe Publicis has the right vision for future growth, and I wish them every success.”
