TV Weatherman Hilariously Turns On Mask Filter Generator During Live Cross

A weatherman from North Carolina has learned the hard way about modern TV reporting after he inadvertently turned on Facebook’s Live mask filter during a report and it turned him into a google-eyed spaceman, wizard and even a fox live to air.

WLOS ABC 13’s Justin Hinton was harmlessly reporting on heavy snow in Asheville when the on-air calamity struck.

He was still reporting when viewers started posting comments on Facebook about the masks, and he can be heard in a WLOS Facebook post asking a co-worker: “Wait … did I have a weird face?”

Check out the nonsense below:

When you're trying to do a serious Facebook Live about the weather and you accidentally tap the Mystery Mask filter. Poor Justin Hinton. ?

Following the comedic report, Hinton went on social media to explain: “Right before going live on Facebook on the WLOS ABC 13 station account to talk about snow, I somehow activated a filter generator,” Hinton posted.

“The photographer I was working with said something about the screen having weird faces. He didn’t elaborate, so I said it would probably go away. Needless to say, it did not go away. I didn’t realise it until I stepped off camera and saw the comments where people were talking about the faces.”

Fortunately, he did see the funny side: “If you can’t laugh at yourself, what’s the point of laughter?”
