Access PR Announces Darwin Office, Appoints Local Managing Director

New business wins in the Northern Territory have seen Access PR formalise its presence in Darwin, officially opening an office and appointing highly regarded communications specialist and local Bethaney Maley as managing director.

The agency has worked for three years for Tourism NT, four years with Northern Territory Major Events Company on its annual Parrtjima – A Festival in Light event, and recently added Charles Darwin University and a yet-to-be announced NT Government panel appointment to its roster.

Maley has most recently been working with Access on CDU and has more than 15 years’ experience as a highly skilled communications and community engagement specialist across both private sector and Territory Government projects.

She was previously acting director of corporate, community and international relations at the National Critical Care and Trauma Response Centre.

Prior to that, she worked in a variety of community engagement roles as a Territory-based consultant and spent more than five years as a policy and communications advisor to the Henderson and Martin Governments in the Territory.

“Bethaney lives and works in the Territory and completely understands how to address the unique challenges presented by the Territory’s diverse population and remoteness.

“She also has impeccable media credentials as well as her consulting skills after her years as a Sydney-based reporter and presenter for the Nine Network. We are lucky to have her,” said Access PR CEO Andrea Kerekes.

The opening comes off the back of a solid new business year for Access in 2019 winning St Vincent’s Private Hospitals, Verve Super, Festival of Dangerous Ideas, Teachers Mutual Bank, social media and content for HomeWorld, Australian Payments Network, Charles Darwin University, Northern Territory Major Events Corporation, and Starlight Children’s Foundation.
