DesignStudio Studio Appoints Mark Liney As Its Principle

DesignStudio has announced the appointment of Mark Liney to the role of Principal for its Sydney studio.

Liney joins DesignStudio from Re – M&C Saatchi’s brand and design consultancy – where he was managing partner of the Sydney business, working with clients including Optus, Commonwealth Bank and Woolworths. Prior to Re, he spent four years at Landor across the Sydney and London studios.

Mark Liney (featured image), said of the appointment: “I’m so excited to be joining the DesignStudio team.

“When it launched in Sydney last year it was a real statement to the industry.

“The business brings a spirit and calibre that Australia has been missing for some time – you just need to look at its significant growth across London, San Francisco and New York as a testament to its philosophy.”

Liney concluded: “I’m looking forward to continuing this great work and partnering with ambitious clients across Asia-Pac to define what makes their brands amazing and create incredible work across every aspect of what they do.”

DesignStudio co-founder, Paul Stafford added: “We’re thrilled Mark has joined DesignStudio at a time of real growth globally for us where our work is increasingly moving towards long term strategy, transformation and helping our clients achieve measurable growth.

“We continue to work with some of the world’s most ambitious brands using design-led thinking to transform behaviours, internal culture and external communications across the entire brand experience.

“Our ambition is to help brands stand out, engage audiences and play a meaningful role in people’s lives – with Mark performing a pivotal role in this.”
