Sunday TV Wrap: MAFS Hands Nine The Bouquet

The Married At First Sight juggernaut rolled on again last night, snaring 1.088 million viewers and taking the number one spot as the most watched show of Sunday night.

MKR can’t seem to get out of the low 800s and again had to settle for 808,000. Interestingly, it was beaten by Nine’s 6pm news with 881,000 and 60 Minutes that enjoyed a MAFS halo effect with 880,000 viewers.

Over at 10, its reality offering I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here posted an admirable 662,000 given the competition.

Nine easily won Sunday with 35.1 per cent audience share. Seven had to settle for 27.9 per cent, the ABC snared third with 16.1 per cent, 10 had 15.2 per cent and SBS had just 5.8 per cent.

Other standouts for Seven included its 6pm news with 1.054 million, coverage of the cricket Test that peaked at 623,000 and the Perth/Melbourne Big Bash game that peaked at 278,000.

For 10, NCIS was its second most watched show behind Celeb with 388,000, followed by The Sunday Project with 358,000 and 10 News First with 282,000.

The ABC’s night ran thus: 7pm news (689,000), The Cry (574,000) and Aftermath: Beyond Black Saturday (468,000).

For SBS, its best was Sinkholes: Deadly Drops that managed 150,000 and was the 36th most-watched show of the evening.
