KFC Unveils Scented Candle That Smells Like The Colonel’s Famous Gravy

Want to get your better half in the mood for some lovin’ this coming Valentine’s Day? Well, KFC could have the perfect mood maker – a scented candle that smells like the Colonel’s very-own gravy.

The latest stunt follows previous years that have offered up such tempting classics as chicken-smelling perfume, edible nail polish and logs for the fireplace that omitted the aroma of the brand’s 11 famed herbs and spices.

Sadly, there’s a catch for those wanting a gravy candle, however. There’s only 230 special edition candles and they’re only available in the UK via an online auction at www.kfc.co.uk/gravycandle.

A spokesperson at KFC UK & Ireland said: “You’re not dreaming. You really can now fill your home with the incredible aroma of KFC gravy with this limited edition candle… it’s staggeringly nose stimulating.”

The Colonel’s parfumier added: “What an honour it was to create a candle with such a highly-beloved scent. Initially the different ingredients within the gravy were split into their constituent parts and fragrances matched to each. Then the scent was built component by component in the similar ratios as KFC’s iconic gravy.

The artisanal approach to creating the candles was crucial to ensure the familiar and evocative aroma of gravy was perfectly captured.”
