The Wired Agency Welcomes A Trio Of New Hires

Sydney-based independent digital marketing player The Wired Agency has announced three new hires following a number of new business wins and existing client growth.

Jessica Torstensson (pictured above, far left) joins the agency as account director from WPP’s Wavemaker in Sydney, where she led a team of nine, working primarily on the Hungry Jacks account. Prior to this, Torstensson worked as a client lead at OMD on its largest account, McDonald’s.

In her new role, Torstensson will lead The Wired Agency from a client direction perspective and work closely with founder and managing director Angela Hampton on business development.

Commenting on her appointment, Torstensson said: “I wanted to be a part of this amazing independent agency’s journey and help to build an even stronger offering for existing and future clients.

“I believe my broad global network agency background and The Wired agency’s deep digital knowledge will be a powerful combination.”

The Wired Agency’s other two new recruits are Oscar Walters (pictured above, second from the left) as a social media assistant and Hannah Cairns (pictured above, far right) as an SEM assistant.

With the agency more than doubling in size in just 12 months, Hampton (pictured above, third from the left) said she was excited to see its team continue to grow.

“2018 has been our best year yet, and investing in new talent will allow us to continue on this exciting growth spurt,” she said.

“We are so happy to welcome Jessica, Oscar and Hannah to our close-knit team.”
