DDB Melbourne Poaches whiteGREY’s Anthony Moss To Replace Departing ECD Stu Turner

Creative agency DDB Melbourne will have a new group executive creative director in the new year, with whiteGREY’s Anthony Moss to jump ship as a replacement for Stu Turner.

Turner has been DDB Melbourne’s group ECD since June 2017. Prior to that, he worked as the ECD of Havas, and has also held roles at Saatchi & Saatchi, 303 MullenLowe and DDB in South Africa.

Moss (pictured above) has been chosen to replace Turner in the new year. He is currently the Melbourne ECD at WPP agency whiteGREY, and was the ECD of Grey Group prior to its merger with The White Agency last year. Moss has also held roles at CHE Proximity and Saatchi & Saatchi.

DDB Melbourne managing director Kate Sterling said: “Whilst we were sad to see Stu go, we completely understand his reason to head back to South Africa to be closer with family.

“We’re thrilled to finally announce that Anthony (Mossy) will be joining us as group ECD in the new year. Mossy will come on board to lead a creative team of conceptual and systematic thinkers across the group being DDB, TRACK and Mango.

“The calibre and diversity of his experience is exceptional and on top of that he’s probably one of the most loved and respected creative in the business. We’re super excited about the fabulous journey ahead.”

Commenting on Moss’ departure from whiteGREY, CEO Lee Simpson said: “While we are disappointed Mossy is leaving, he leaves a legacy of a talented department and strong work.

“His hard work has enhanced the creative offering in the Melbourne office and the output reflects our capabilities in creativity and technology. This approach will remain a strength of the whiteGREY team and we thank him for his commitment.

“He’s a great bloke, and will no doubt be a success in his next career move.  We wish him all the very best for the future.”

Moss will continue in his role at whiteGREY until January 22, 2019 and will continue to work alongside national ECD Chad Mackenzie throughout the transition period. The agency has begun its search for Moss’ replacement.
