Trump And Putin Morph Into The One Person In Eerie New Time Cover

Trump And Putin Morph Into The One Person In Eerie New Time Cover

It’s had some cracking digs at the presidency of Donald Trump, but Time magazine’s latest effort is surely one of its more spectacular.

The magazine’s July 30 effort features a striking composition of Vladimir Putin’s and Donald Trump’s faces morphed into one.

With the cover line “The Summit Crisis”, the cover and accompanying story highlights Trump’s apparent cosiness with the Russian leader at last week’s meeting between the two leaders, at the expense of the US’s close NATO allies.

Trump also denied the Russians had meddled in the 2016 presidential elections, contradicting the US’s own security intelligence. His actions prompted widespread condemnation back home and even calls of treason.

Time’s latest cover is the work of renowned visual artist Nancy Burson who said of her work: “What my work has always been about is allowing people to see differently. The combining of faces is a different way for people to see what they couldn’t see before.

“I think the best art can change people’s perception of how they see how they are as human beings,” she said. “Art makes everything possible and beyond.”
