Isobar Promotes Sharon Behen To Executive Strategy Director

Dentsu Aegis Network’s Isobar has announced the promotion of Sharon Behen to executive director of strategy, after six years with the digital agency.

In her new role, Behen will be the craft lead for Isobar’s 18 strategists nationally, as well as the agency’s social media team.

Focused on the four key areas of quality, value, fraternity, and ambition, Behen will be responsible for ensuring that Isobar’s strategy team continually adapts its capabilities to meet market needs.

Isobar national managing director Erik Hallander said: “I believe that when an agency is doing well, it’s worth looking within your ranks to find the people you need, because they are probably already there.

“Throughout her time at Isobar, Sharon has been a star contributor to our agency’s strategy team, with a proven ability to get to the heart of a business problem and find the solution that meets both client and customer needs.”

“Having come to Isobar from a different discipline – managing one of Dentsu Aegis’ PR consultancies – she has been a natural and hands-on leader in our agency, using her time here to acquire new skills and knowledge, and making her worthy of the chance to embrace this exciting and challenging new role.”

Commenting on her new role, Behen said: “This role is a great chance to take the wheel on what is an incredibly important function for Isobar, an agency in which I’ve loved working over the past six years.

“There is so much opportunity that I see for us: to exploit our capability in data, to understand and maximise our client’s digital ecosystems, and to provide sophisticated brand strategy and marketing services.

“I believe that brands are more important than ever. I want to ensure that our clients’ brands are accounted for, and that the ambitions of their organisations are realised.

“Combining this with our market-leading capabilities in understanding customer need, I think we have a very, very powerful offer.”

Behen recently won Dentsu Aegis Network’s innovation incubator, Brainbox, with her ‘Business of Baby’ idea.

Alongside her new role, Behen is using seed funding from Dentsu Aegis Network to work on a prototype of the product, which she is aiming to launch in the coming year.
