Indy Agency Sparro Appoints SEO Lead

Independent digital marketing agency Sparro has announced the appointment of Michael Sparkes to the newly created role of SEO lead.

Sparkes will lead Sparro’s key SEO clients, including longstanding relationships with Webjet, Destination NSW and Domino’s.

He will also be pivotal to the ongoing development of Sparro’s SEO offering and instrumental in building client relationships, as well as securing new business.

Sparkes joins Sparro from APD, where he was a senior SEO consultant. He has also worked in SEO management at Datadial and The Simply Group. He will join Sparro’s leadership team, together with founders Morris and Cameron Bryant and key account director Hannah Jones.

“Michael’s experience is outstanding and he shares the Sparro values,” Cameron Bryant said.

“He’s hands on, data-focused and really passionate about training future leaders in the space – something we’re very focused on.

“We’ve created the role of SEO lead on the back of Sparro’s substantial growth, particularly in 2017 when we welcomed new clients, including Catch and Estee Lauder Companies, and grew our partnerships with existing clients, including Webjet and Destination NSW.

“We’re continuing with even more momentum in 2018, so Michael joins us at the perfect time as we bring on new SEO clients and continually develop what we offer. We’re also really excited to bring in another strong mentor for our growing team.”

Commenting on his appointment, Sparkes said: “I felt aligned to Cam and Morris’ straight-talking nature from the outset, so I’m very much looking forward to working with the left and right brain thinking team at Sparro to deliver long-term growth to clients.”

Sparkes’ appointment is effective immediately.
