Monday TV Wrap: Seven’s ‘The Wall’ Feasts On ‘Family Food Fight’ Debut

Nine’s latest foray into the food genre – Family Food Fight – got off to a less than satiating debut last night, managing a disappointing 614,000 according to OzTAM figures.

It was better news for Seven’s launch of its new game show The Wall that boasted 971,000 eyeballs last night.

Seven returned to the winner’s circle, snaring 30.5 per cent audience share for Monday. Nine was relegated to second spot with 24.2 per cent, the ABC had 21.2 per cent, Ten pulled 17.2 per cent and SBS had seven per cent.

Seven’s news won bragging rights over Nine, beating its rival 994,000 to Nine’s 978,000. Seven’s The Chase (585,000), Liar (512,000) and Criminal Minds (205,000) was the order of its night.

For Nine, ACA managed 868,000, followed by Family Food Fight and Hot Seat with 491,000.

Ten’s best was Have You Being Paying Attention? with 725,000 and The Project that managed 537,000.

The ABC’s night of current affairs always does well for the broadcaster and last night was no exception. Its night went thus: 7pm news (773,000), Australian Story (750,000), 7:30 (698,000), Four Corners (618,000), Media Watch (586,000) and Q&A (575,000).

SBS’s best was The World’s Most Extraordinary People that pulled a less than extraordinary 195,000.
