Matt Tindale Named LinkedIn’s New Country Manager For Australia & NZ

Professional networking platform LinkedIn has announced the appointment of Matt Tindale as its country manager for Australia and New Zealand.

In his new role, which will be effective from July, Tindale will have a dual role and continue to serve as head of enterprise for LinkedIn Marketing Solutions in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

Tindale joined LinkedIn in 2013 as head of its Marketing Solutions business for Australia and New Zealand, before taking on a newly-created regional role as head of enterprise for Linkedin Marketing Solutions in the APAC region last year.

Commenting on his new role, Tindale said: “I am excited about the opportunity ahead of us to continue to grow LinkedIn’s presence and create value for our members and customers.

“Australia and New Zealand has been a strong contributor to LinkedIn globally, and we will continue to punch above our weight”.

Tindale will succeed Cliff Rosenberg, who joined LinkedIn more than seven years ago to launch its operations in Australia and New Zealand in 2009.

Olivier Legrand, managing director of LinkedIn for the APAC region, said: “Our business in Australia and New Zealand is one of the strongest for LinkedIn globally, with Cliff at the helm over the last seven years.

“Cliff was also instrumental in building and keeping alive an exceptional culture in our Sydney and Melbourne office – one that continues to inspire our employees to live and breathe our mission.

“His leadership took us to where we are today, and will be foundational as we continue to chart a path towards our vision of creating economic opportunities for every member of the global workforce, including those in Australia and New Zealand. We wish him well for the future.”

Rosenberg described his time at LinkedIn as “incredible”.

“I have had the opportunity of a lifetime to build LinkedIn’s business from the ground up, work with outstanding talent, and see first-hand how we are transforming the industry and adding value to people’s professional lives,” he said.

“With the business fundamentally strong and in good hands, I am excited about my next adventure as an adviser, investor and director with public companies and helping tech start-ups realise their full potential.”
