Starcom Promotes Martin Harley To GM For Sydney

Starcom Australia has announced the promotion of Martin Hadley to the newly-created role of Sydney general manager.

Hadley has been with Starcom Sydney for three years, where he most recently worked as its client services director.

He has more than 20 years’ experience in media agencies, and prior to joining Starcom, worked as the general manager of PHD, a company he helped launch in 2009.

In his new role, Hadley will be responsible for leading Starcom Sydney’s clients, staff and operations, and will report to Starcom Australia CEO Tony Barbour.

Barbour said: “We are fortunate to enjoy a great depth of talent at Starcom, and Martin brings not only a wealth of experience working with our clients, but also valuable leadership skills to his new role as general manager.

“Following my recent appointment to national CEO, I needed a strong leader for our Sydney office, and Martin was ideal for this important role. He will also work closely with our new Sydney trading director Sue-Ellen Osborn and national strategy director Graeme Wood.”

Commenting on his promotion, Hadley said: “Starcom Sydney has an amazing team of talented people. I am thrilled to be taking on the role of general manager to work together to deliver tomorrow’s human experience thinking to client business challenges today, creating the most effective business outcomes and solutions.”

Hadley’s appointment is effective immediately, while Starcom is set to announce a new client services director shortly.
