Kieran Moore, CEO Ogilvy Australia said: “I believe very strongly that when senior positions become vacant that we look to promote internally before we look anywhere else. To have such an experienced and well-recognised leader in our midst and be able to promote Leon to lead our corporate group is a wonderful opportunity for both him and the business.

“Leon already has the distinction of helping create two Ogilvy brands – Parker & Partners and Ogilvy PR Health – which have both achieved great results.   This new combined group will be responsible for almost 40 per cent of Ogilvy PR Australia’s revenue.

“It is this drive and passion for the business that secured Leon the promotion and bodes well for the continued success of the business going forward,” said Moore.

“There is no better place than Ogilvy to develop your career. They bring together the best in the business and it’s an energising and inspiring place to work,” said Beswick.

Prior to joining the Ogilvy PR Group, Beswick was a Policy Adviser to the Howard & Kennett Governments. Beswick replaces Susan Redden Makatoa who leaves after three years to move into executive search and capability development.

Ogilvy Public Relations Australia is part of WPP AUNZ, the region’s leading marketing communications and content group.
