Reports: Seven CEO Tim Worner Outed By Former Lover

Seven West Media has gone into damage control after an affair between Seven CEO Tim Worner (pictured above) and a former employee became public over the weekend.

The sexual relationship allegedly happened between December 2012 and June 2014 before Worner, who is married with four children, became the Seven boss. The employee was reportedly a personal assistant, 37 year old Amber Harrison (below), who has since left the network. The Daily Mail has reported Harrison was paid $150,000 in hush money when she left.

News Limited websites have reported that it had known of the affair for some time and had even been threatened with legal action by the network. However, as knowledge of the tryst became more widespread it has now conceded that an affair did take place between Worner and Harrison.

It is understood that Worner has apologised for the 18-month affair while Seven has taken a hand-washing approach, stating  it is a personal matter for Worner and his family.

The Daily Telegraph has quoted Harrison as saying: “I knew he was married. It was never about love. It was about sex and power”. The article also reveals that there was a number of sexually explicit text messages between herself and Worner.

Apparently, Harrison had been shopping her story around to a number of news outlets for some time claiming the end of the affair had resulted in her having panic attacks and time off work. News Limited has reported that Harrison hired lawyers and has made claims of bullying, victimisation and sexual harassment. The $150,000 paid to Harrison was allegedly for health reasons and not due to the affair, Seven claimed.

The Daily Mail has subsequently reported that Harrison was sacked from Seven for misusing the company credit card to the tune of $260,000. Harrison has denied the claim.
