Emily Ratajkowski Is New Face Of Aussie Swimwear Firm Amore + Sorvete

Proving she’s come along way from 2013’s controversial Blurred Lines, US model/actress Emily Ratajkowski has gone from posing naked on a horse for Harper’s BAZARR last month to being the new face of Aussie swimwear firm Amore + Sorvete.

The little known Amore + Sorvete (which means “love and ice-cream” in Portuguese) is a West Australian-based firm and the brainchild of Bridgette Gale and was launched in 2009. Its website says its swimwear is “covetable, completely unique, and of the highest quality”.

Ratajkowski is set to be the face of its 2016/2017 campaign and, considering she’s known for that body, its Ratajkowski’s first foray into fronting a swimsuit brand.

Amore + Sorvete will use Ratajkowski’s profile for a global launch in September and accompanies a series of rather racy images shot in June in Los Angeles by photographer Derek Kettela.hula-hula-top-main_large-1

In a recent interview with www.instyle.com, Bridgette Gale said of her company: “I started it when I was 21; I was pretty young. Where I grew up on the coast, I was just always in my swimwear, always in a bikini. I had about 40 bikinis before I started Amore & Sorvete. We’ve got our signature heart on each bikini, and if you look at it closely, it’s a heart but also a double scoop ice cream,” the designer said.
