MediaCom Appoints Michael Waymouth As Group Business Director

MediaCom is delighted to announce the appointment of Michael Waymouth as Group Business Director, effective immediately.

Based in Sydney, Waymouth’s key responsibilities will be to lead client relationships and to deliver the highest quality channel strategies for MediaCom’s client, Pharmacare. Reporting to Sean Seamer, CEO MediaCom Australia, he will also manage client integration of the agency’s diversified services. With over 10 years of industry experience, Waymouth joins MediaCom with a wealth of knowledge having held agency and in-house roles previously, both domestically and globally.

Familiar with MediaCom as an agency, Waymouth collaborated with several departments including MediaCom’s MBA and Business Science teams during his 5-year tenure at IAG. Delivering an array of successful and award winning campaigns during the partnership, the most successful project was NRMA’s Insurance ob-doc series ‘Storm Season’ which premiered on Channel 10 in October 2015.

Sean Seamer, CEO MediaCom Australia said, “We are very excited to have Michael on board as he joins us with a vast knowledge of experience both client and agency side. A key hire for us, Michael has an innate knowledge of his new team, but also brings with him a fresh perspective from his time client-side. We are focused on attracting and securing the brightest talent in Australia, and Michael certainly represents the best.”

Waymouth added, “Having experienced the caliber of talent at MediaCom, I am really looking forward to being officially part of the team”.

This appointment follows the recent announcement of Marcus Le Clair as the agency’s new digital lead, the key promotion of Alex Kirk to Head of Systems & Automations, and the notable new business acquisition of leading US baby brand Munchkin.
