Magnum & Co Appoints General Manager

Sydney-based integrated marketing agency, Magnum & Co has today announced the appointment of a general manager of the business.  In the newly created role, Aaron Crowther joins to take on the day-to-day responsibilities of running the company, working alongside owners Michelle Hampton and Katie Barclay.

Formerly general manager of Red Agency, Crowther comes to Magnum & Co with 16 years’ experience working with a number of leading brands in a range of industries.

A technology and innovation specialist, he has also lead large consumer programs, including the award winning Unlimited campaign for Western Sydney University.

At Magnum & Co, Crowther will be focused on the continuing development of the business as it reinforces its leadership in insights driven integrated work across content and social media marketing, influencer marketing, experiential, and PR.

“I have long been blogging about the limitless potential of professional communicators and in joining Magnum & Co, I feel very at home because they have an extremely mature view of integrated marketing,” said Crowther.

Magnum & Co managing director Michelle Hampton said the appointment is a sign of the business coming of age.

“We are so lucky to represent some of the world’s biggest brands, and our plan for the future is to accelerate the cross-platform value we deliver, Hampton said.

“As we move further into this integrated space to continue delivering our clients’ stories in a limitless way, it became necessary to consider a new senior hire.  Aaron will be responsible for leading this positive change on an operational level as Katie and I continue to focus on the bigger picture.

“Aaron comes with fantastic pedigree and Katie and I are really excited to collaborate with him on where we can take the company for the benefit of our clients.”

Hampton said Magnum & Co had seen an overwhelmingly positive response to its rebrand (from Magnum PR), which better reflects the culture of the business, its offering and the industry.

“We know the rate of change in society and our industry is intense and staying ahead of the game has become critically important to our business,” she added.

“Aaron has incredible experience when it comes to leading teams that use change and disruption as a competitive advantage. His background in and passion for technology, content marketing, digital and social media marketing, will be strategic assets for us.”

With recent new business wins, Magnum & Co is on the lookout for two Senior Account Managers. Check out Magnum’s website to get in touch.
