Yahoo Boss Labelled “Most Overpaid CEO In History”

Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer has been labelled the “most overpaid CEO” in history, she only keeps her job because she’s pregnant with twins and her company should be killed-off anyways.

This is the bizarre claims of Scott Galloway, professor of marketing at NYU Stern School of Business. “If she hadn’t announced she was pregnant with twins, she’d be out of a job within six months,” the professor said in a scathing attack on Bloomberg television.

“I don’t think any board in America right now in technology that’s as visible as Yahoo wants to be seen as not leaning in,” added Galloway.

And the professor’s comments weren’t just for the company CEO, he also believed the company itself should simply be killed off altogether.

“We should put a bullet in the head of this story called Yahoo,” he said. “It is time to euthanise this thing.”

Yahoo’s fortunes, along with its US share price have tumbled under Mayer’s stewardship; however, that’s not stopped the 40-year-old taking home a pay packet said to be over $US42 million annually. Mayer has been blamed for the company failing to attract new users and woo advertisers.

“Marissa Mayer is the most overpaid CEO in history,” concluded Galloway.
