True Story with Hamish & Andy has shaken off last week’s plagiarism furore and again delivered for Nine, pulling 1.08 million viewers last night according to OzTam figures.

However, the show dipped slightly on its debut, down from 1.28 million last week.

A bigger concern for Nine would be its multicultural comedy Here Comes The Habibs which fell from 826,000 to 655,000 last night.

Seven’s dominant news (1.38 million) and House Rules (999,000) saw the network claim Monday night honours with 30.5 per cent audience share. Nine was second with 25.6 per cent, Ten had 19.8 per cent, the ABC 18.7 per cent and SBS bought up the rear with 5.4 per cent.

Ten’s MasterChef had a promising eviction night with 808,000; however the surprise was arguably the ABC’s Four Corners that pulled an impressive 808,000 with its investigation into Queensland police corruption. And good news for purveyors of quality journalism everywhere.

Meanwhile, Ten’s new shining star, Have You Been Paying Attention?, lost a bit of its gloss down slightly to 799,000.

It was a good night all round for the ABC, with its strong Monday night current affairs line-up. The ABC News managed 782,000, Australian Story had 757,000, 7.30 scored 661,000, Media Watch had 639,000 and Q&A scored 455,000.

Things were less promising over at the SBS with its top rating show, 24 Hours In Emergency, only pulling a disappointing 173,000.
