Storyation Ups The Staff With Four Senior Hires

Sydney-based content agency Storyation is fast-tracking its growth with four recent senior hires.

Co-founder Lauren Quaintance said: “We’re excited by the calibre of talent we’ve been able to attract during this period of rapid growth for the agency. With high-level experience with clients and publishers, our team are well positioned to help Australian brands with strategically-grounded content that delivers real business results.”

Head of strategy Andrés López-Varela (second from right in photo) was most recently global content editor at Tourism Australia where he led the content strategy for the national destination marketer. He previously held senior roles at Weber Shandwick and One Green Bean working on major local and global marketing initiatives including Coca-Cola, Pfizer and Commonwealth Bank.

Partnerships manager Lauren Sharpe (second from left in photo) joins from Pacific Magazines where she was head of homes. She has previously worked at Bauer where she was both group commercial manager and national brand manager at the Australian Women’s Weekly.

Client services manager Elissa Kent (left in photo) has worked as an account director at independent advertising agency PMA Communications as well as holding roles such as a media strategy manager at Telstra and trade marketing and   events at Fairfax Media.

Art director Blaise Curran (far right) was designer at Pacific Magazines working on Virgin’s Voyeur magazine, but has also worked in-house for brands such as Camilla, Sony and Bendon.

Founded by two former Fairfax Media executives, Storyation was a recent finalist for 2018 global content agency of the year at the Content Marketing Institute Awards in the US.

The Surry Hills agency recently announced a strategic partnership with leading content marketing platform NewsCred to help marketers streamline content creation and distribution, surface insights to assist data-driven ideation and measure performance
