The Simpsons React To Trump’s Win: “Being Right Sucks”

It may have ominously predicted the future way back in 2000 that Donald Trump would would one day be US President, however, an upcoming episode of The Simpsons wants to allay any concerns that they’re in anyway supporters of our new President-elect.

The show’s creators have tweeted an image of Bart, who famously pens something witty on the school’s blackboard at the start of each episode, writing “Being right sucks”.

The response is to an episode from March 2000 called “Bart to the future” where the show’s creators predict what the world will look like when Bart and Lisa are adults. Coincidentally, one of the predictions was a Trump Presidency.

In March this year, the writer of the episode, Dan Greaney, told The Hollywood Reporter that the episode was intended as “a warning to America”.

“It was pitched because it was consistent with the vision of America going insane,” Greaney said.
