Reg Davidson Takes COO role At IPG Mediabrands

IPG Mediabrands Australia executive chairman and incoming global CEO Henry Tajer has announced the appointment of Reg Davidson as chief operating officer of the Australian operations.

Currently chief financial officer of IPG Mediabrands Australia, Davidson has worked with Tajer for the past 10 years on the development of the national business. In that time the group has grown from traditional media services to encompass the full suite of media communications skills and remains the fastest growing group of its type in Australia.

“Reg has been the most impressive business partner I have worked with in my years in the business,” said Tajer. “He has great instincts for the media industry and a very deft touch in the decisions that created and structured the strong businesses we have now and how we will continue to develop into the future.”

Tajer also said the expanded role for Davidson recognised his leadership and detailed knowledge of the business, its future and many of the group’s important external partnerships.Society; analytics business Anomaly Australia; creative, content, activations and sponsorships agency Ensemble; mobile solutions business Mnet; ethnic communications business Identity and Cadreon, the programmatic/performance business.
