PPR Wins Woolworths Public Relations From One Green Bean

Woolworths has announced it has appointed Professional Public Relations (PPR) as its agency of record for public relations support across the food group business.

The team at PPR will support the head of PR, community and sponsorships at Woolworths across national marketing and wider food group campaign activity, as well as work with state marketing managers on local store and community activity.

Andrew Hicks, director of marketing at Woolworths, said: With our marketing evolving and our internal team structure changing, we felt the time was right to review the support we required from our PR agency partner.

“In our RFP review process, PPR was able to demonstrate extensive experience in the supermarket sector, along with an unrivaled capacity, with their unique footprint, to support the delivery of our campaigns at a national and local level in the most efficient and effective way.”

Woolworths has also appointed Menreet Kaur to join its marketing team as PR manager. Menreet joins Woolies with over seven years experience in FMCG and retail communications, spanning agency and media roles in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.

Hicks thanked incumbent PR agency One Green Bean for its work in supporting the marketing and PR for Woolworths over the last four years.

“As we transition our agency arrangements to PPR, the One Green Bean team will complete working with us over the next couple of months on a number of projects in both the PR and influencer space,” he said.
