Porter Novelli Appoints New Sydney Managing Director

Porter Novelli Australia has appointed Tamsyn Alley to the role of managing director in Sydney.

Alley brings more than 20 years’ experience in leading marketing, communications, sales and operational functions for brands and corporates across Australia and New Zealand, with particular strength in tourism, travel, hospitality, gaming, leisure, entertainment and property.

She joins Porter Novelli from Tourism Australia where she was the global head of public relations and instrumental in the delivery of the highly successful ‘Restaurant Australia’ campaign.

Porter Novelli Australia chief executive, Peter Kent, said the firm would benefit in Sydney – and more widely – from Alley’s breadth of experience, business maturity and leadership skills.

“We wanted somebody with the commitment and capability to spearhead a refreshed direction for Porter Novelli in Sydney, build new capabilities, enhance collaboration across our Australian and global network, and ensure our clients have best in market service – wherever their market may be.”

Alley said she’s delighted to be joining an agency as impressive as Porter Novelli and to have the opportunity to invest her communications and commercial experience to add real value to clients’ business.

“The calibre and experience of the Sydney team and the exceptional resources of the network, gives Porter Novelli the ability to deliver innovative, integrated and wide-ranging communications solutions for Australia’s leading consumer and corporate brands and to really partner with clients in achieving results,” she said.

“It’s a premier agency and an exciting time to be joining, so I couldn’t be more pleased to be taking on the role.”
