Natasha Exelby Lands New Job At Kyle & Jackie O’s KIIS 1065

Is she sacked? Is she not sacked? And now Natasha Exelby apparently has a new job anyway.

The ongoing saga of the ABC newsreader takes another turn with reports Exelby has been offered a job at ARN’s KIIS 1065 in Sydney.

Over the weekend Exelby made global news when she was caught staring at a pen during a news read. The ensuring blooper going viral around the globe.

By Monday afternoon reports had circulated that the ABC had sacked the freelance journalist for the indiscretion, with many raging that the punishment didn’t exactly fit the crime.

Yesterday afternoon, the public broadcaster issued a media statement to say the whole thing had been a silly misunderstanding and Exelby was, in fact, back on the broadcaster’s payroll.

Now comes the news that KIIS 1065 will be a guest newsreader on Kyle & Jackie O’s breakfast show next week.

“We are excited to have someone with Natasha’s expertise join our newsroom at KIIS 1065,” ARN’s content director Duncan Campbell said.

“Not only is she a seasoned journalist, but the way she has handled the unexpected attention and public scrutiny following her ‘blooper’ this week shows Natasha has poise under pressure and, most importantly, a sense of humour so I am sure she will feel at home with the KIIS team,” he said.
