A strong performance by Ten’s Have You Been Paying Attention? (811,000 viewers) has seen the broadcaster see off the ABC for third position in Monday night’s viewer numbers.

Once again, The Block (1.046 million) handed Nine the win with 29 per cent audience share. Seven had to settle for second and 25.8 per cent, Ten snared 20.3 per cent, the ABC had 18.2 per cent and SBS pulled 6.7 per cent.

Combined with Survivor (654,000) and The Project (575,000), Have You Been Paying Attention? managed to fend off the ABC’s strong night of current affairs. Australian Story (766,000) was Aunty’s top show and even beat its 7pm news bulletin (742,000). 7.30 had 688,000, Four Corners pulled 456,000, Media Watch had 423,000, while Q&A was disappointing with just 363,000.

Seven’s 6pm news bulletin was the most watched show of the night with 1.110 million viewers. The network’s other standouts included: Home And Away (620,000), The Chase (590,000) and Bancroft (341,000).

The Block aside, Nine did well with its 6pm news (940,000), ACA (845,000), Doctor Doctor (631,000) and Hot Seat (508,000).

Over at SBS, its best was Empire of the Tsars: Romanov Russia that pulled a lukewarm 217,000.
