MediaCom Claims Media Account For Victorian Government

The MediaCom team have got their party hats on at the office this morning after winning the master agency media services contract for the Victorian government.

B&T understands that MediaCom will replace Dentsu Mitchell (which handles campaign services) and Zenith (which handles non-campaign services) on the highly sought-after media account, which have shared it since 2012.

According to the Victorian government website, the account includes media planning and buying across the government’s spread of departments and agencies.

The website also notes that the state government granted Dentsu Mitchell and Zenith a three-month contract extension until the end of November so it had enough time to undertake the tender process and “allow for a sufficient transition”.

It’s understood that MediaCom will begin working on the account in December.

MediaCom declined to comment when contacted by B&T. Both Dentsu Mitchell and Zenith were also contacted for comment.
