Mango’s social lead goes it alone

Mango’s social lead goes it alone

Mango’s former head of social media has jumped ship to set up his own content marketing and social media consultancy.

Adam Vincenzini, who had been at DDB’s PR agency Mango in Melbourne for just over a year, has launched Kamber, a joint venture with communications agency SenateSHJ Group.

Kamber’s founding clients include Concave Football Boots, Aussie pro poker player Joe Hachem and a start-up in the property sector that is due to launch next month.

Prior to Mango, Vincenzini was head of digital at London-based agency Paratus.

He said: “Since being back in Australia, I’ve noticed many things about the Australian social, digital and content scene and the most glaring thing is that social media and online content are still primarily considered as an add-on, as opposed to helping to drive the way brands and business can behave.

“The other thing I’ve noticed is that while social media has been embraced by the majority of Australian brands and businesses, many haven’t embraced the real opportunity it has presented – a chance to become bona fide online publishers.”
