Contestant Blows $150,000 Gameshow Prize Despite Having Answer Written On His T-Shirt

A Spanish gameshow contestant has proven himself a bit of a global dill after he failed to answer the winning question despite having the answer emblazoned on his T-shirt.

The young man, a fellow by the name of Alberto, was appearing on the Spanish quiz show Ahora Caigo when he was asked, “What is Steve Rogers in the Avengers?”

To the multiple choice question, Alberto was given three choices of answers: “A doctor, sir or captain”.

Although he was wearing a T-shirt with the words ‘Captain America’ emblazoned across it, he still couldn’t muster the correct response and, instead, went for doctor.

Worse was to come, poor old Alberto was apparently in the running to snare a cool $150,000 in prize money had he got the answer correct.

Despite the calamity and international embarrassment, Alberto used his appearance on Ahora Caigo to propose to his girlfriend who was watching at home. It’s unclear if the young lady said yes.
