KIIS FM Host Sacked For Harassing Colleague

The host of a nightly show on KIIS FM has reportedly been let go by the radio network after alleged inappropriate behaviour towards another staff member.

John “JC” Caldwell (pictured above), who co-hosts Celeb HQ with Zoe Marshall across KIIS FM’s national network, has been given the sack after allegedly harassing a colleague at the Australian Commercial Radio Awards (ACRAs) earlier this month in Melbourne, according to The Daily Telegraph.

When questioned by B&T about Caldwell’s sacking and behaviour at the ACRAs, a spokesperson for the Australian Radio Network said: “Due to privacy reasons, we don’t comment on individual contracts.

“However, what we can say is that ARN takes the welfare of its employees very seriously, and our commitment to putting the health and safety of our workers above all other considerations is clearly expressed in our policies, and adhered to.”

Meanwhile (in completely unrelated news), Bruno Bouchet, executive producer of KIIS 1065’s Kyle & Jackie O show, will leave ARN at the end of the year.

“After two years as executive producer on the Kyle & Jackie O show, Bruno’s contract has come to an end and he’s chosen not to renew it,” an ARN spokesperson said.

“Breakfast radio hours are intense and after two years of 2am alarms and long days, he’s trading that in to spend more time with his young family and is moving on to a new role outside of radio.

“In the coming week, we’re excited to be announcing the new executive producer to work with Kyle, Jackie and the KIIS team.”

Kyle Sandilands and Jackie “O” Henderson were crowned Best On-Air FM Team at this year’s ACRAs, only for Sandilands to blast the awards as a “piece of sh*t event” after the duo failed to make an appearance.
