IPG looks to UM for digital head

IPG Mediabrands Australia has promoted UM’s Maria Grivas to fill the newly created head of digital position within the group

Grivas will take on the new role on January 1 2014, moving from her current national digital director position at UM.

She will report to IPG Mediabrands’ executive chairman Henry Tajer and continue to work with UM.

“Given the speed and directions our businesses are developing, the head of digital position across the Group is a natural addition,” Tajer said.

“A large part of Maria’s assignment will be to develop an enterprise-wide manifesto for how we engage our clients in the digital ecosystem and how important and effective the many digital platforms are now and into the future for our clients and our businesses.”

Grivas has been with UM since 2011, first joining as digital investment director.

Yesterday IPG Mediabrands announced four new staff-development focused roles.
