Ikon Group Sydney has announced it been awarded the media services business for Horticulture Innovation Australia’s (Hort Innovation) brands, including Australian Bananas, Australian Avocados, Australian Mushrooms and Aussie Apples, following a competitive tender process.

Ikon will continue its eight-year long partnership with Hort Innovation providing, strategy, data, media planning and buying services.

Graeme Yardy, marketing lead at Hort Innovation, said: “We are pleased to continue growing the success we’ve had in building our iconic brands on behalf of our growers by partnering with Ikon for the next three years.

“This will allow further development of our plans to drive consumption of Australia’s fresh produce industries.”

Ikon Sydney’s chief of integrated services, Natalie Musico, said the win reaffirms the core strengths of the agency’s offering.

“With each year of our partnership with Hort Innovation, our offering has grown and evolved. This includes our team and the work we produce for them,” she said.

“In turn, Hort Innovation has entrusted us with more and more responsibility for its communications requirements.

“It continues to be a privilege to deliver communication services for Hort Innovation’s great range of industries, especially with these growers representing makes up such a critical part of Australia’s economy.”

Ikon’s win follows the recent launch of the full-service campaign for Aussie Apples, including creation of the new brand positioning, TV and social campaign assets by Ikon.
