Tom Gleeson Destroys “Reality TV Star” Anthony Callea In Unbelievable Hard Chat

Tom Gleeson was at his merciless best on last night’s episode of The Weekly With Charlie Pickering, with poor Anthony Callea getting utterly thrown under the Hard Chat bus.

From Gleeson’s opening salvo, “I’m joined by singer and reality show veteran, Anthony Callea”, it was pretty much sucker punch after sucker punch from there on in.

Gleeson then asked: “What’s it like to be a ventriloquist doll come to life?” Which, to his credit, Callea responded in kind: “A hand up your arse!”

The host then mocked the 36-year-old’s repeated appearances on TV reality shows.

“You came second on Australian Idol, fourth on I’m A Celebrity… and you came fifth on It Takes Two. Is losing something you do professionally?”

However, the line of the night belonged to the host.

“You met your husband Tim while doing the musical Rent,” Gleeson enquired. “Is that the gayest way to start a gay relationship?”
