Evolve Media LLC., an integrated digital media company has officially launched the Fashion Spot, a fashion-focused community and editorial site, in Australia.

TheFashionSpot will explore the industry’s most compelling and controversial issues; will offer a first look at the season’s collections and trends as well as regular features like trend forecasting, shopping roundups, beauty tutorials and red carpet style.

TheFashionSpot provides in-depth coverage of fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and celebrity trends for an audience of 1,511,952 million unique users and 10,311,611 page impressions worldwide, and 71,693 unique users and 396,896 page impressions in Australia every month according to Google Analytics (May 2015).

TheFashionSpot Australian editor, Chantelle Schmidt, said: “The launch of the site in Australia allows us to combine our global expertise and resources with a local editorial voice and deep understanding of the local market.

“In Australia, we will be putting more focus on local video content.  TheFashionSpot Australia is always on top of prominent industry news and events. Whether it’s an interview with the Australia’s Next Top Model team, models and bloggers at fashion week or celebrities at red carpet events, theFashionSpot is there and ready for scoop that will excite our readers,” Schmidt added.

Evolve Media Australia’s managing director, James Perry said “We are excited to have launched theFashionSpot following successful advertising campaigns across Evolve Media’s female business unit Totallyher, resulting in clear growth and support for theFashionSpot.

“The launch marks another milestone in Evolve Media’s effort to establish increasingly larger local publishing offerings and further invest in local editorial and coverage. We look forward to offering advertisers both our premium marketing solutions, native and content led advertising capabilities.”

In Australia, the site has recently started producing video content including extensive coverage at this year’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia and more recently interviews with the judges for Australia’s Next Top Model and the Sydney premiere of Mad Max: Fury Road.

Joel King, who is managing the launch of a number of Evolve websites in Australia, said: “TheFashionSpot is a leader in its field. Our Australian audience is made up of fashionistas who are following the latest trends around the world. We are seeing really high engagement with 4.26 page views per session. Visitors are participating in our forum discussions about the latest content on the site, then sharing this content across social media.”
