Amanda Keller Tops List Of The Top 20 Funniest Women On Radio

When industry site Radio Today unveiled its top 20 funniest people ever on Australian radio list in March there was one big, sad, glaring problem – the reader voted poll contained just a single female presenter (2DayFM’s Em Rusciano in 13th spot).

Realising the error of its ways, the site quickly unveiled a new poll dedicated to finding Australian radio’s top 20 female comics.

And the results are in, with WS FM’s Amanda Keller taking the coveted number top spot.

Radio Today claimed the poll attracted over 3000 votes chiefly from those employed in the radio business.

“The exercise is not to pitch rivals against one another, but to showcase just how vast the Australian talent pool is,” it said of the poll. “From most influential to the top new talent, every collection of voices proves that working in radio is allowing some of the most dynamic and exciting names to emerge, while honouring those who have paved the way.”

And here’s its top 20:

  1. Amanda Keller
  2. Kate Langbroek
  3. Jane Kennedy
  4. Chrissie Swan
  5. Wendy Harmer
  6. Jo Stanley
