Melbourne media agency UM has hired MediaCom’s Wayne Philbert as group director.

“January 16, 2014: Highly experienced media professional Wayne Philbert is the latest senior hire by UM Melbourne as the agency continues to strengthen its client leadership, investment, strategy and digital capabilities.
Philbert joins UM as a group director after 20 years media experience including 12 years in media agencies. He has worked at MediaCom Melbourne for the past nine years, most recently as group business director where his category experience has been across retail, tourism, energy and entertainment. His clients have included Pacific Brands, Shell, Cricket Australia, the AFL and Tourism Australia.
UM is continuing to build its Melbourne agency capabilities. The agency recently announced the appointments of Ivo Kavelj as managing partner investment, Justine Mills as digital director and Aaron Perry as a group director.”
