The Block hammers home 2.1 million for finale

The Block All Stars finale blitzed last night’s TV ratings, luring a hefty 2.12 million viewers for the Winner Announced segment.

The Auction segment and the Grand Final segment took out second and third places respectively, each luring 2.01 million and 1.65 million, giving Channel Nine the first three spots on OzTam’s metro free-to-air overnight rankings.

The results led Nine to capture a whopping 37.6% of total audience.

Seven’s My Kitchen Rules still pulled 1.56 million in fourth place and was followed by Seven News on 1.2 and Nine News on 1.16. A Current Affair also scored over one million viewers.

Seven’s Home and Away came next with 977,000, followed by Today Tonight on 950,000.

Ten News At Five came in 11th with 610,000, while the same network’s Australian crime drama Mr & Mrs Murder sat 15th with 496,000.

Commercial shows also in the top 20 were Nine’s Hot Seat which pulled 590,000, Seven’s Deal or No Deal which won 490,000 and Last Resort (488,000).

Network Seven won 28.8% of the night’s audience while Ten won 14.2%, the ABC won 15.5% and SBS won 3.9%.
