Mr & Mrs Murder pushes through to the top 10

Seven’s military drama Last Resort has lost more than 250,000 viewers in one week, with the second episode of the American mini-series dropping below the million mark.

Last Resort premiered with an audience of 1.2 million in its first week, but last night it dropped down to ninth place and 949,000 viewers.

The program, which was axed in America late last year, was however the fourth most watched show in the 16-39 age bracket and third within the 18-49 demo.

Ten’s new Mr & Mrs Murder pushed its way into the top 10 programs with an audience of 715,000, according to OzTam’s preliminary metro ratings.

The Australian drama premiered in 11th spot with a slightly larger audience of 782,000.

The show nabbed 5th spot in the 16-39 demographic with 223,000 viewers and claimed sixth among 18-49s with an audience of 360,000.

The Block: All Stars pulled in more than a million viewers for the fourth night running, winning 1.03 million sets of eyeballs for Nine.

The elimination episode of My Kitchen Rules ruled the roost with an audience of 2.335 million.

The popularity of MKR helped Seven claim the largest share of all free-to-air viewers of 29.7%.

Nine was in second place with 18.7% followed by ABC on 12.4% and Ten’s 10.5%. SBS took a 3.9% share.
