MKR fans turn out to farewell 'Mr and Mrs Cheese'

More than 1.7 million My Kitchen Rules fans farewelled ‘Mr and Mrs Cheese’ last night during the cooking competition’s elimination epsidoe.

With 1.723 million viewers MKR was last  night’s most watched and helped Seven win a combined 34.4% share of all free-to-air viewers, according to OzTam’s preliminary ratings.

In second place was Nine’s The Block: Fans v Faves with 1.327 million viewers.

Nine won 6pm to 7.30 with its combination of Nine News (1.158 million), Nine News at 6.30 (1.102 million) and A Current Affair (1.033 million).

Nine’s post The Block programming also proved more popular with 1.079 million people tuning in to the evening’s first episode of The Big Bang Theory compared to the 886,000 people who chose to stay on Seven for Winners & Losers.

Nine was still second place in the overall ratings, it won a combined 28.8% with 22.8% going to the network’s primary channel.

Seven’s main channel share was 26.7%.

Ten had a stronger night than Monday evening (March 10), it sat on a total 15.2% with three top 20 programs. One of those top 20 included NCIS with 571,000 viewers. Ten Eyewitness News was the networks most watched with 616,000 viewers.

Ten’s primary channel took home 11%.

The ABC beat ten with a combined 16.7% and 11.3% for ABC1. SBS was in last place with a total 5% with 4.2% going to SBS ONE.
