John Rynehart Returns To Australia As PPR’s Corporate Director

WPP-owned internal corporate communications agency PPR has announced the appointment of John Rynehart as its corporate director for Australia and New Zealand.

Rynehart joins PPR with 20 years’ experience as a journalist and communications strategist in Australia, the UK and the Middle East.

Most recently, he was deputy managing director at Four Communications in the Middle East.

Rynehart will be responsible for leading PPR’s corporate offering across six offices in Australia and New Zealand.

PPR chief executive Michael Pooley said: “John’s broad experience advising some of the world’s leading organisations will enable us to further develop our strong corporate client base within the agency and provide our clients with best-in-class corporate communications strategies.

“As well as attracting new organisations to PPR, he will also support our client leaders across our other disciplines of brand, technology, government and travel and tourism, [and] offer outstanding corporate reputation counsel.”

Commenting on his appointment, Rynehart said: “Organisations in Australia and New Zealand, just as I’ve seen in other parts of the world, are finding it increasingly difficult to build a positive corporate narrative among an increasingly sceptical community.

“I’m excited by PPR’s community marketing approach and its unique geographic footprint that can help an organisation bond with the communities that matter to them, no matter where they are based.

“Coming back to Australia and joining a leading agency such as PPR is a real privilege for me.

“With a well-established and highly respected existing corporate offering, and a talented team in every market in Australia and New Zealand, I can’t wait to work together to support current and new clients build their corporate reputation.”

Rynehart will be based in Melbourne. His appointment follows the arrival of Allan Dib, PPR’s first director of planning and insights, in November last year.
