Nerds Rejoice As More Star Wars Teaser Released To Fans

It’s not due in cinemas until Christmas (the 18th of December to be precise) but the teaser for the next installment of Star Wars – The Force Awakens – has been released.

The new footage was released at global nerd festival Comic-Con at San Diego over the weekend and, interestingly, departs from the straight movie footage and shows fans many behind-the-scenes moments of the making on the seventh adventure in the series.

And proving new director, JJ Abrams, is as canny at marketing them as he is at making flicks, he bought in original cast members Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford to do the talking at Comic-Con.

This is the second teaser released and has fans absolutely salivating while all the while giving absolutely none of the plot away. Abrams has said the story remains absolutely secret and all cast and crew are in lockdown.

Since George Lucas sold the rights to the Star Wars franchise to Disney a number of new films have been touted. Including a spin-off of young Han Solo’s life announced last week.
