One Green Bean wins in Wellington

EXCLUSIVE: One Green Bean has won the PR account for Wellington’s official tourism marketing organisation, following a two-month competitive pitch.

The Sydney-based agency has been appointed the retained PR agency for Positively Wellington Tourism (PWT) and will look after the company’s consumer and trade PR in Australia.

One Green Bean’s remit will also involve promoting the wider Wellington region to potential visitors from Australia, as part of an alliance with Hutt City and Wairarapa, along with the wine regions of Marlborough, Hawke’s Bay and Martinborough.

Jessica Stephens, PWT Australian marketing manager, said: “Wellington likes to do things differently and we were impressed by One Green Bean’s creative thinking, presenting fresh, challenging ideas. The agency displayed a real passion and hunger to work on our business so we’re excited to be working with them and look forward to doing some great work together.”

Matt Buchanan, managing director at One Green Bean, added: “We’re thrilled to have been appointed to work with the team from the city that has been affectionately coined ‘the coolest little capital in the world’.

“The region has such a great variety of activities and culture to offer as well as being a hub for creative talent, and we can’t wait to start telling these stories to the Australian public, helping firmly cement Wellington as a must-do short break destination.”
