Samsung Electronics Australia, PharmaCare Laboratories, Fiat Chrysler Group (Jeep Brand), McDonald’s Australia, Optus and Maurice Blackburn are the first official sponsors for Ten’s exclusive coverage of the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
Currently finalising agreements with other sponsors Ten has also signed a sponsorship deal with a large consumer goods company that cannot be named at this stage.
“The response to the Sochi Games has been extremely positive. It will be the premium sporting event of 2014 and we are looking forward to bringing it to all Australians, for free, across TEN, ONE and tenplay,” Louise Barrett, network Ten chief sales officer, said.
“We are delighted to welcome Samsung, PharmaCare, Fiat Chrysler Group, McDonald’s, Optus and Maurice Blackburn to the biggest free-to-air broadcast of an Olympic Winter Games in Australian television history.”
Ten is set to begin airing the XXII Olympic Winter Games on Friday, February 7, running until February 24.
